This post was last edited by YORK Industrial Refrigeration on 2018-4-2 at 10:38. This year’s 【Daily Question】is divided into three categories: screw refrigeration compressors, refrigeration systems, and oil circuit systems, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration technology. (If you encounter something you don’t know or can’t answer, please actively look up information; by doing so, your skills will improve!) ) (All participants in the comments on this post will receive 1-3 wealth points; those who give complete answers will receive 10-15 points, with the validity period being two days.) ============================== Screw refrigeration compressor gas flow control mechanism (1): What is the function of the area marked with a red circle? (Analyzed in conjunction with Figure 2) Answer: The bypass port, which is connected to the suction side, regulates the air flow rate and controls the effective area of the screw. The slide valve is used to regulate the gas flow rate by moving it.
The slide valve of a screw compressor regulates the air volume through backflow
The adjustment of the gas flow rate is achieved through the movement of the slide valve.
The compressor inlet pressure is adjusted by regulating the amount of propane return flow
Function of the position marked with a red circle: 1. In Figure a), when the slide valve is in contact with its fixed end, it is in a full-load condition, with no gas backflow. 2. In Figure b), when there is a gap between the slide valve and its fixed end, it is in a partial-load condition; the return gas flows back to the compressor’s radial intake through the opening at the position indicated by the red circle. The opening in this position should be called a “bypass port” or “low-pressure chamber”; its function is to direct the returning air to the compressor’s radial intake.
Adjust the air supply volume by moving the slide valve
