In what applications are automatic circulation control valves commonly used? Why is it that in such cases a design that includes a flow restriction orifice along with a gate valve at the minimum flow rate point is typical, while designs using an automatic circulation control valve for determining the minimum flow rate are rarely seen in engineering projects?
I guess it’s due to lack of widespread adoption and cost issues. .
