A centrifugal pump can operate normally with the outlet valve partially open, but pressure is lost suddenly when it is fully opened? Why is this? Is it cavitation? The manufacturer says there is nothing wrong with the pump...
The main reason is likely insufficient inlet flow and inadequate suction volume; possible causes include clogged filters and material freezing
1. Once the back pressure reaches the pump’s rated pressure, the pump’s outlet valve can be opened wider. 2. When back pressure cannot be established, adjust the opening degree of the outlet valve according to the pump outlet pressure, being careful not to cause overload.
If the head is set too high, the flow rate at full opening will be high and the pressure will drop; check the current.
Low inlet flow or high inlet flow (low back pressure in the pipeline) can both cause the aforementioned symptoms; by checking the current, it can be seen that the current is very low in the former case and fairly high in the latter case~~~~ Solutions should then be applied accordingly~~

If the head is set too low, there is an inverse relationship between flow rate and head; ideally, one flow rate corresponds to one head. When the actual head increases and the pump’s driving force remains unchanged, the only way to keep the pump running is by reducing the flow rate. However, operating in this condition for a long time is not good either, as it increases the risk of damage to the pump
