Are there any of you who are involved in work related to side-blown furnaces? I have been working on the thermal balance calculations for side-blown furnaces, and I haven’t been able to find certain empirical parameters, such as the air leakage rate of these furnaces and their heat losses.

The air leakage rate refers to the air leakage at the feeding port; you can estimate it yourself. With a negative pressure of -10 pa, the heat loss is likely to be between 5% and 10%
