In the flowchart, there is a PID diagram, and along with it there is also a PFD diagram. What does PFD mean? Thank you.
PID has additional controls compared to PFD
My understanding is that a PFD is a process flow diagram that mainly shows the flow of various materials, the material balance, as well as parameters such as pressure and temperature. Through the PFD, it is possible to understand more intuitively that the process PID is a more detailed version of the PFD, with finer details shown for the convenience of construction and operational adjustments. PID and the pipeline valves of field devices are basically the same. In summary, the PFD exists on paper, where it is easy to understand; it cannot be found in the actual field. The PID details are too intricate, making it difficult to gain an overall understanding of the process; yet it remains the detailed blueprint that must be followed for construction and operation
