【Help needed】Freshman in chemical engineering

I’m a freshman in the chemical engineering category at Tianjin University; my major hasn’t been determined yet, but I aim to study chemical engineering. Do any of you have any resources related to this field? [Study materials, software, study methods, course selection, etc.]
What’s useful in work includes, first of all, principles of chemical engineering, as well as knowledge related to materials; I’m not sure if you study that.
In the first two years of undergraduate study, one takes general courses; in the third and fourth years, some basic courses in chemical engineering are taken
The chemical engineering program at Tianjin University is quite good; it’s recommended to master the principles of chemical engineering first, and then learn some simulation software
Well, new students, I won’t say anything too harsh
Study hard*, and choose a major with a good cost-benefit ratio, such as finance or information technology
If you don’t have ambition in this field or don’t have sufficient financial support from your family, then it’s better to use your time to master the basic courses while you’re still young, and switch to a field like computer science or finance. In this industry, salary does not correspond to the level of risk; your highest salary might be equivalent to the starting salary of an ordinary programmer at Alibaba
