There is a requirement: a distance of 5 meters is needed.
GB50160 Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises 8.12.4 Manual fire alarm buttons shall be installed along the roads surrounding Class A and B plant areas as well as around tank groups, with an interval not exceeding 100m. Interpretation of the provisions 8.12.4: Most plants and storage and transportation facilities are already controlled using DCS systems. Moreover, as petrochemical plants become larger in scale, the central control rooms are located increasingly far away from the plants and facilities that need to be monitored, and there are few personnel on site. To enable timely detection of fires and prompt alarm activation, it is required to install manual fire alarm buttons along the roads surrounding Class A and B plant areas as well as along the roads surrounding tank farms
