Burial of high-concentration wastewater from chemical plants

Recently, on a project, I suggested to the client that high-concentration wastewater should be routed through the plant’s piping framework to prevent leakage and contamination of groundwater. However, the client insisted on burying the pipes. Is there any clear standard that prohibits burrowing such pipes?
No. Leakage of underground pipes can be prevented through appropriate measures, such as installing a separate concrete trench outside the pipes.
I’m worried that the property owner might be suspected of causing leaks on purpose; P

I was once invited to help a company develop a process design. When I went to the factory to assess the available utility facilities, I found a valve chamber at the bottom of the primary sedimentation tank in the wastewater treatment plant. When I asked the factory’s technical staff about it, they hesitated and avoided giving a clear answer. So, after leaving, I never answered calls from that company again.
It’s best for such water quality to use elevated roads; if there’s a leak, it will be difficult to deal with... If the goal is to avoid environmental regulations... then if issues are found in the operation process in the future, you will be blamed for not considering potential problems during the design phase.
