I read a document regarding the recovery of condensate water in chemical plants; it mentioned that if there is a leak in the condensate line, it can cause local flashing and resulting water hammer. I don’t quite understand this passage. If anyone knows, please explain why pipeline leaks can cause cavitation. Thank you; let me know once you know
