Which process should be used for the dehydration of waste organic solvents in hazardous waste treatment projects? Since the input material is hazardous waste, the situation is complex – is distillation or molecular sieves a viable option?
Such a question cannot be answered accurately. How many types of aqueous waste organic solvents are there? And the dehydration methods are all tailored to specific solvent composition systems. If the proportion of water-soluble components in the system is high, dehydration becomes extremely difficult in such cases. And if the system consists of a large proportion of water-insoluble components, relative dehydration is easier. Furthermore, dehydration is closely related to the physical and chemical properties of the system; such a general statement lacks basic scientific knowledge.
