I have just started working with the ion exchange system, specifically the one used for sugar processing. When the discharge system fails, is there a rule stating that resin must not emerge above the liquid surface during discharge? Is there also a requirement regarding the height of the main discharge pipe? The position shown in the diagram represents the resin filling level.
The pipe outlets of the lower row of main pipes are determined by the process equipment team; for your piping work, you only need to consider the siphon effect. The ion exchange temperatures aren’t high, and there’s little stress involved; just mix them up as you like.

So, how is the height of the horizontal pipes in this lower main pipe specified?
The pipe outlet size is determined by your specialty in process equipment. As for the direction of the pipes, it is necessary to take into account both the systems ahead and those behind; there is nothing fixed.
