Why can’t the main corridor design be multi-story? The main pipeline is arranged in layers, allowing the expansion bends to be much smaller, which also saves on investment.
In principle, various pipelines can be designed with expansion bends according to their different levels of expansion. However, when they are arranged on the same floor, different types of supports are required, as well as upward bends; in addition, some drainage devices need to be installed. Personally, I think this approach is cleaner – the supports can be shared, and the supports can be designed properly as part of the steel structure
The four control centers for refining, chemicals, aromatics, and ethylene are related to the startup of the atmospheric and vacuum distillation units with initial feedstock feeding; it seems that they have little connection with the latter three.
