Within the company, negative-pressure multi-effect evaporation is used to concentrate the electrolyte in the batteries; since the electrolyte contains a high amount of metal ions, crystalline deposits have formed inside the heat exchangers, severely impairing heat transfer. Now consider two aspects: 1. Install a filtering device in front of the system to remove impurities from the sulfuric acid in the electrolyte ; 2. Add scale inhibitors to the system to slow down the formation of scale that adheres to the equipment. I hope the seniors can give me some advice. Well, system pretreatment is like treating the symptoms only; but at present it’s not clear what kind of filtration can be used to effectively remove metal ions.
Try using a magnetic filter? I used it before in a magazine on slurry filtration of metals; I’m not sure whether metal ions can be filtered out
It is difficult to achieve satisfactory results with either estimation method; the heat exchanger gets clogged by crystalline deposits, and the key lies in whether the design of the evaporator is reasonable
At first, I planned to change our plug-type filter to a tubular type, but I thought that would only provide a temporary solution, as crystallization would still occur on the surface of the tubes.
