According to the specifications, a safety valve should be installed after pressure reduction, but the user refused to do so, stating that the equipment already has its own safety valve. Since our quality control standards are quite strict, in a previous project the reduced-pressure gas was routed to the workshop’s steam distribution cylinder, which already had a safety valve. However, the inspectors also required us to install another one on the pipeline downstream of the pressure-reducing valve.
Hello, based on the owner’s application letter, I think it is inappropriate: first of all, the number of safety valves on the equipment is unknown; if there are two, I believe it may not be necessary to install any additional safety valves. According to GB50160-2018, in the same pressure system, if there is already a safety valve at the source of pressure, then safety valves are not required on the other equipment. However, it is necessary to have two safety valves in operation in order to ensure safety. Secondly, if, as the owner states, no safety valves will be installed, then corresponding interlocked pressure relief devices are necessary; these can automatically activate to relieve pressure when the pressure in the temperature and pressure reduction system becomes too high, thereby ensuring safety.
If the equipment’s safety valve takes into account the scenario of a steam pressure relief valve losing control, no problem is considered to exist.

Cancellation is not recommended; safety is of utmost importance, and safety valves serve as a safeguard to ensure production safety. These are just my personal opinions for reference only.

It depends on whether the design temperature of the pipeline at 0.3 MPA can withstand such conditions. 2. The safety valves in the pipeline network are different from those on the user’s equipment. Once he closes the steam valve, the pressure relief system loses control, and the pipeline network experiences overpressure.
