Are the design standards followed by each company different? I see that some standards were developed by Sinopec, some by CNPC, and others by Huisheng Engineering, among others.

What does that mean? Is it a unified regulation for the project? Or is it the organization responsible for formulating the standards?
First of all, it is important to understand that design regulations and standards are two distinct things; standards are usually **imposed by the industry, while design regulations are internal rules set by industries and companies. The design regulations of a design firm represent specific, reasonable provisions formulated based on those standards and industry rules. In terms of the organizations responsible for this, they first develop design specifications for their own companies, or participate in the formulation of certain industry standards and national standards. Of course, some national standards are also directly upgraded from industry standards
National standards come first, followed by industry standards; as for industry standards, those specific to a particular industry should be used. As for enterprise standards, they can be considered later; for example, it’s of course better to use those of CNPC, but generally the level of detail doesn’t go that far.
