Seeking advice on safety spacing for storage tanks in building codes

The fire separation distance between different liquids and between tanks of different types shall not be less than the larger value specified in this table. I don’t understand what it means. Could someone with more knowledge give an example? For example, there is a Class A storage tank (100 m3, d2m) and a Class C storage tank (150 m3, d1.4); what should be the safety distance?

For Class A tanks, the spacing is 0.75D, which equals 0.75 times 2 meters, resulting in 1.5 meters; for Class C tanks, the spacing is 0.4D, which equals 0.4 times 1.4 meters, resulting in 0.56 meters. Therefore, the spacing between a Class A tank and a Class C tank should be no less than 1.5 meters (the higher value is taken)
