I would like to ask the experts: Will replacing a circulation pump in a closed-loop warm water system with one that has the same flow rate but a lower head pressure have an impact on the circulation? Can the previous traffic be maintained?

The total pressure drop of the pipeline plus the control valve matches the pump’s head, and the flow rate in the closed-loop system is equal to the rated flow rate. After replacing it with a pump of lower head, the flow rate will decrease because the pipe resistance drop remains unchanged. If there is a temperature control valve TV in the circuit, an increase in its opening degree results in a decrease in pressure drop; this pressure drop is then used to compensate for the reduced head, thereby matching the flow rate at the operating point.
