Mr. Zuo Jingyi is a descendant of Zuo Zongtang. Zuo Jingyi, a great-grandson of Zuo Zongtang, was from Xiangyin, Hunan (May 1918 – August 2006). Born in Changsha, he is a renowned scientist in the field of corrosion and protection in China. He has served as a professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, as an adjunct professor at Zhejiang University and University of Science and Technology Beijing, and as an academic member of the Open Laboratory of the Institute of Metal Corrosion, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has also held positions such as vice president of the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection, vice president of the Chemical Corrosion Prevention Technology Association, and deputy director of the National Technical Committee for Corrosion Engineering Standards. The State Council’s “**special allowance**”. He was a member of the 6th and 7th National Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the 6th Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Shenyang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and a member of the Lanzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
