What type of pump is suitable for pumping ion exchange resin, so as not to damage the resin?
For resins, a pneumatic diaphragm pump can also be used; it’s inexpensive and effective.
It is pumped using a disc pump, a type of pump that was originally used for raising fish fry
Personally, I think peristaltic pumps are not suitable; since they transfer fluid by squeezing the tube, the ion exchange resin might get damaged. Positive displacement pumps such as diaphragm pumps might be more appropriate – it’s worth looking into them
