The boat-shaped switch, also known as a rocker switch or wave-shaped switch, is commonly used as a power switch in electronic devices, household appliances, and small home appliances. Based on the function of its contacts, it can be classified into types such as single-pole single-throw and double-pole double-throw; some versions of this switch come equipped with an indicator light. A boat-shaped switch functions in the same way as all other switches, that is, to cut off and connect electrical current. In the main circuit, it plays an important role in the process of converting input from the AC power grid into DC output, including inversion, rectification, and filtering.
