What does the control of the acrylic machine mean?

As shown in the figure, uc60001a controls the anti-surge valve a, but there is a selector, select A for control. There is no point A in the figure. What is the A of this selector? The same is true for the other three anti-surge valves. Please give me an answer, masters. Thanks

It will be clearer if you look at the FD diagram (Functional Control Diagram).
The compressor has 4 sections of inlet, each equipped with an anti-surge valve. I think this is to avoid too many parameters and bypass the flow chain when starting up.
