Hello everyone. We have 60 tons per day of methanol mother liquor with a concentration of 10%~20%, and we need to recover methanol. Which distillation unit would be suitable for this purpose? If the requirement for technical sophistication is not high, and the mother liquor does not contain components lighter than methanol, ordinary distillation is sufficient.
In 60 tons of crude methanol with a concentration of 10%-20%, only 6-12 tons of methanol is present, which is too small a amount for a distillation unit. I think it would be better to find a methanol factory and buy the methanol there at a low price
For simplicity, you can look for a manufacturer that sells one similar to an alcohol distillation tower; for a proper solution, consult a design institute for design work
