As the title suggests: Recently, it has been observed that in many air separation projects, the expanders are usually located inside the factory buildings, and this is particularly common in the northern regions. One issue at hand is that the cold boxes are classified as Category B structures, while expanders should be considered Category D structures; both are assigned a fire protection rating of level 2. According to standard 16912, the required fire separation distance is 10 meters, but it’s actually impossible to meet this 10-meter requirement. How is this problem addressed in such cases?
There must be a solution after all; since you’ve already made a determination based on the relevant documents, just submit it. Submit it directly, keep submitting it until it reaches the local safety inspection department. We won’t stop until we achieve success:D Also, the distance between the expansion machine and the cryogenic tank can be increased indefinitely – it simply involves extending the pipes. Not to mention 10 meters, even 100 meters is possible. Insulation can be achieved using vacuum-insulated pipes. :lol
