The pressure in the liquid chlorine storage tank is high; once the pressure relief valve opens, the color of the reflux stream from the reactor turns yellow. The pressure relief pipe for the liquid chlorine storage tank is connected to the outlet of the vaporizer. The chlorine gas released from the storage tank is at a low temperature, while the temperature of the gas in the vaporizer is high. Apart from the difference in temperature, I can’t think of any other reasons why the chlorine gas might differ. I hope experts can help solve this issue. Thank you! ! ! ! ! ! !
Is phosphorus trichloride produced using chlorine and phosphorus? The pressure relief pipe of the storage tank is located together with the gas supply pipeline; this affects the flow rate of gas used in the process. As a result, impurities such as dichlorine and phosphorus monochloride may be formed due to insufficient chlorine supply. Why isn’t the pressure relief pipe installed on the tank itself? By doing so, the amount of gas flowing through the vaporizer can be reduced, thereby decreasing vaporization and thus the need for pressure relief
