After the major maintenance in our workshop, there is a knocking sound coming from the U-tube heat exchangers in the heat exchange station on a daily basis. What could be the cause?
What are the media in the tube side and shell side of the heat exchanger? It’s best to post a process flow diagram
When heat is exchanged and liquid vaporizes, a water hammer sound is produced
There is air in the cooling water chamber; it hasn’t been drained!
If there is a temperature difference and water accumulates in the U-shaped tube, noise may occur
