When transporting particles, does the riser operate in dense-phase or dilute-phase transport? The FCC technical Q&A only states that riser operation falls under the category of transport beds. Other information indicates that transport can be divided into dense-phase transport and dilute-phase transport. Could someone help to explain the difference further? Is dilute-phase transport simply due to the airflow velocity reaching a level sufficient for dilute-phase transport?
