For the treatment of chloride ions in saline wastewater, steel materials with good resistance to chloride ions should be used, such as stainless steel, phosphorus-resistant stainless steel, nickel-based steel, low-carbon steel, etc. For wastewater with chloride ion concentrations in the tens of thousands, materials with better resistance to chlorides, such as cemented carbide or phosphorus-resistant high-strength steel, can be considered.
No pressure, no high temperatures? Then go with plastic – PPR, PVC. What else is there besides chloride ions? If not, fiberglass will work as well. Normal sewage lifting is sufficient. For metals, below 50,000 ppm: 254SMO; at 200,000 ppm: Hastelloy C276; and then there’s TA2. 2205 won’t work; 2507 should work roughly.
