However, GB/T 799-2020 for anchor bolts does not include the following description: “Class A anchor bolts are commonly used for fixing ordinary mechanical equipment, while Class B and Class C bolts are used for equipment subjected to higher loads or vibrations.” ” It is not listed in GB/T 799-88 either. This should be based on experience, or it may have another source. Additionally, on-site, Party A places the orders themselves, while the foundation bolts for the pumps are provided by the manufacturer. It’s necessary to examine each one now; for those that really can’t be used, have them replace them with another type.
Indeed, the GB/T 799 standard mainly defines technical requirements such as the dimensions and materials of anchor bolts, but it does not clearly distinguish between the specific categories of use for these bolts or the corresponding types of equipment. The classification of usage scenarios is largely based on common engineering practices and experience. In practical operation, it is very important to ensure that the pump and other critical equipment use properly specified anchor bolts. If the foundation bolts on site do not meet the design specifications or the client’s specific requirements, they should be identified and replaced
Paragraph 5.3 of the general provisions in HG/T 21545-2006 stipulates that Class II anchor bolts (of straight-hook and bent-hook types) are used for pumps, containers, etc. that are subject to tensile forces.
Class A in GB799 is not included in HG/T 21545-2006.
