I would like to ask the experienced colleagues: is the determination of the pipeline pressure rating simply the allowable operating pressure of that rating at that temperature? That is, the design pressure, then multiplied by an adjustment factor derived from dividing the allowable stress at the design temperature by the required stress at the reference temperature? Then which pressure rating should be assigned, the one that is closest? For example, if the design pressure is 1.3 Mpa and the design temperature is 250°C, the allowable operating pressure is 1.3*132/137 = 1.394 Mpa; should it be classified as Pn16? If it is based on US standards, since 150# corresponds to 2 MpA, it is classified as 150#

When considering the pressure-temperature ratings according to French standards, it is also necessary to take into account the valve’s own pressure-temperature ratings; for the current operating conditions, PN25 should be chosen
