The crude organic material produced by our factory contains 0.2% phenol, and the temperature of this crude material is 250°C. What type of equipment should be used?
Phenol is somewhat corrosive to equipment materials, especially at higher temperatures. Given the presence of phenol in your crude product and the high operating temperature of 250°C, it is recommended to use stainless steel equipment, as it offers better resistance to chemicals and can thus provide better protection against corrosion. Carbon steel may suffer from corrosion more rapidly under these conditions, thereby affecting the stability and service life of the equipment. .
