It is not necessary; steel-lined PTFE pipes generally do not use gaskets, as PTFE itself has excellent sealing properties. .
Steel-lined PTFE pipes ensure no leakage, and gaskets can be used or not. Look up the standard specifications by yourself. I forgot which book the standard specifications are in.
What we do in terms of construction is actually just adding things
Generally, the lining thickness of fluoropolymer-lined pipes is relatively small, so gaskets are still required.
It’s optional, but it’s recommended to use it. Not used: The tube is lined with PTFE, and the flange ends feature PTFE connections, which enable sealing at those joints. Usage: There is unevenness at the PTFE interface, which needs to be corrected using a PTFE gasket. In summary: it is recommended to use it; if not used, the installation condition should be checked. The fact that there is no leakage at the time does not mean that leaks will not occur later due to reasons such as pipeline vibration.
We have added more gaskets, and we are hoping that experts can provide standards regarding whether gaskets should be added or not.
