Generally, for process and utility pipelines, pipes with a diameter of DN15–DN25 are used; if necessary, heat tracing pipes with a diameter larger than DN25 can also be employed. b. Determination of the number of pipe heating tubes: The number of pipe heating tubes is related to the properties of the process medium flowing within the pipes that need to be heated, as well as the diameter of those process pipes.
