Let’s give praise and support to the achievements made in China’s chemical engineering technology and equipment; your participation in discussions is the greatest encouragement. **********************【Ten Years of Progress in Chemical Engineering Equipment】A continuously updated summary post is available – feel free to join the discussions: https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-3576046-1-1.html ***************** China’s first full-industry-chain demonstration project for civilian liquid hydrogen has been successful. Recently, China’s first demonstration project covering all aspects of liquid hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and application was successful, marking another significant step forward in the commercialization of liquid hydrogen use in China. Zhangjiagang CIMC Suntain Cryogenic Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CIMC Suntain), the contractor for CIMC’s hydrogen energy liquid hydrogen business unit, has leveraged its extensive technical expertise in cryogenic equipment to tackle the key technical challenges associated with the storage and transportation of liquid hydrogen. It has successfully delivered commercial liquid hydrogen storage and transportation equipment such as 400 m³ liquid hydrogen spheres, 40 m³ liquid hydrogen tankers, and 20 m³ liquid hydrogen storage tanks. These efforts have contributed to the successful implementation of China’s first full-industry-chain project for civilian use of liquid hydrogen, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale commercial application of hydrogen energy. Enabling the large-scale use of hydrogen to accelerate the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals, liquid hydrogen serves as an important medium for the efficient storage and transportation of hydrogen. The development of equipment for its use has long been faced with key technical challenges such as extreme low temperatures (-253°C), high-vacuum insulation, and material stability. Advances in liquid hydrogen technology represent a crucial turning point that enables the hydrogen energy industry to move from demonstration stages to large-scale deployment. The successful completion of this demonstration project will further reduce the costs of large-scale hydrogen transportation, expand the economic transportation range, increase the hydrogen unloading rate, and effectively address the geographical mismatch between wind and solar green hydrogen production sites and end-users. As the first domestic supplier to offer a complete range of product solutions for the \"storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization\" of liquid hydrogen, with the support of the key research and development program \"Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Energy Technologies\" – specifically the project focused on \"Research on Key Equipment and Safety Aspects Related to the Production, Storage, Transportation, and Refueling of Liquid Hydrogen\" – CIMC Suntain has built upon its existing low-temperature technologies and aerospace applications related to liquid hydrogen. By focusing on the development of key common core technologies for liquid hydrogen, it has overcome challenges such as ultra-low temperature insulation techniques, system safety design, manufacturing of large-scale high-vacuum containers, and on-site construction methods. These technologies have been successfully applied in products such as liquid hydrogen storage tanks, liquid hydrogen tankers, liquid hydrogen refueling stations, and liquid hydrogen cylinders for use in vehicles. It became the first supplier in the country to offer a complete range of product solutions for the \"storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization\" of liquid hydrogen. Guided by policies such as the \"Medium- and Long-Term Plan for the Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry\" and the \"Several Policy Measures to Accelerate the High-Quality Development of the Hydrogen Energy Industry,\" the company will continue to increase its investment in research and development, and deepen collaborative innovation with energy companies, universities, and research institutions. Together, they will work to optimize every aspect of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, and utilization, so that hydrogen energy can truly become a core component of the new energy system.
