On April 22, 2025, Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd. held a meeting to evaluate the progress of the “Research on the Applicability of Sulfate Alkylation and Ionic Liquid Alkylation Processes” project. The acceptance expert committee unanimously agreed that the research results and process plans for this project are feasible, and the data is reliable; they can serve as a reference for the group company and its various subsidiaries in making decisions regarding the renovation of ion liquid alkylation units. This research project was developed in collaboration between the company and institutions such as the China Institute of Petrochemistry, Anqing Petrochemical, and Zhonghan (Wuhan) Petrochemical. By taking into account the actual operating conditions of the facilities at Anqing Petrochemical and Zhonghan Petrochemical, and adhering to the principles of cost reduction and efficient utilization, an optimized process scheme for sulfate alkylation using ionic liquids was formulated. The documents \"Design Scheme for the Adaptation of Sulfate Alkylation and Ionic Liquid Alkylation Processes at Anqing Branch\" and \"Design Scheme for the Adaptation of Sulfate Alkylation and Ionic Liquid Alkylation Processes at Zhonghan (Wuhan) Petrochemical\" were subsequently prepared.
