On September 20, the mechanical work for the project at Sinopec’s Tianjin Scientific Testing Base was completed. It is reported that the total investment in this project exceeds 1 billion yuan. Located in the Nangang Industrial Zone of Tianjin Economic Development Area, it covers an area of over 300 mu, with a total construction area of around 70,000 square meters. The project will include four research and pilot production platforms for low-carbon oil processing, high-end carbon materials, hydrogen energy and electrochemistry, as well as resource recycling; in addition, there will be two pilot production bases for special lubricants and petroleum products. Completion is expected by 2025. A responsible official from Sihua Fourth Construction Company said that since the start of the project, in the face of natural challenges such as the intense rainy season and extreme heat, as well as construction difficulties like a dense layout and intertwined underground pipelines, all parties involved have worked together with a united spirit and shared goal, enabling the full operation of water, electricity, gas, and ventilation systems and ensuring seamless integration throughout the entire process. All major project units have now entered the final stages and preparation for commissioning. At present, the project construction is progressing smoothly and in an orderly manner; safety, quality, and schedule are all under control, and the established tasks have been successfully completed.
