Jilin University licensed its PEEK-related technologies to Ningbo Fengmei PEEK New Materials Co., Ltd

On September 28, the signing ceremony for the technology licensing contract related to polyether ether ketone (PEEK) at Jilin University was held at the university’s main campus. Jilin University has licensed three core patents to Ningbo Fengmei PEEK New Materials Co., Ltd. on a non-exclusive basis, at a fee of 30 million yuan; in the future, the two parties will work together to advance the industrialization of PEEK-related technologies. Han Xiping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Jilin University, and Li Yi, Dean of the School of Chemistry, attended the signing ceremony.   In his speech, Han Xiping emphasized that the transformation of research results is an important way for universities to serve national strategies and contribute to local economic development. Jilin University is an important research and development center for specialty engineering plastics such as polyether ether ketone and polyether sulfone, with its related technologies consistently at the international advanced level. This agreement marks a new starting point for extensive cooperation between the two parties. In the future, Jilin University will establish regular communication with Ningbo Fengmei Piyike as well as the local government of Ningbo, in order to deepen collaboration in areas such as breakthroughs in core technologies, joint development of research platforms, and training of high-level talent, thereby fostering more achievements through the combination of \"Jilin University’s expertise\" and \"Ningbo’s strengths\".   Zhu Xinxing, Chairman and General Manager of Ningbo Fengmei Piyike New Materials Co., Ltd., and Professor Wang Guibin from the School of Chemistry at Jilin University signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Zhou Xiaofeng, Chairman of Ningbo Huaxiang Electronics Co., Ltd., and Li Xiaodong, County Head of Xiangshan County in Ningbo, delivered speeches on behalf of the investing enterprise and the local government respectively.   On November 12, at the PEEK industry chain development conference held in Xi’an, Chen Zheng, a professor at the School of Chemical Engineering of Jilin University and deputy director of the Ministry of Education’s Engineering Research Center for Special Engineering Plastics, will give a presentation titled “Modification Techniques of Polyetheretherketone and Their Applications”.
