The ethylbenzene dehydrogenation process uses iron-based catalysts and is carried out under high temperature and negative pressure conditions; the process flow includes preheating of ethylbenzene, dehydrogenation reaction, product separation, and catalyst regeneration ； The PO/SM rule involves the alkylation of ethylene and benzene to produce ethylbenzene, which is then dehydrogenated to yield styrene. The main challenges in styrene production are reaction equilibrium limitations and catalyst coking; modern processes employ techniques such as multi-effect heat integration, negative pressure operation, and selective catalysts to improve yield and efficiency.
