On the 31st of the month, a ceremony to mark the start of trial operations for the green upgrading project of aluminum-based new materials at Shandong Lubei Hai Sheng Biology Co., Ltd. was held solemnly at the project site. Simon Winsley, CEO of Australian company Metro Mining, and his entourage made a special trip to be present with Lubei Group to witness this important moment. At 9:18 a.m., the ceremony officially began. Qiao Xusheng, General Manager of the Group Company, presided over the ceremony. Lv Tianbao, chairman of the group company, attended and delivered a speech, expressing his highest respect and sincere gratitude to the guests who had come from afar as well as to all those involved in the project construction. He pointed out that as the only **ecological industrial demonstration park in the country that is based on a corporate entity, Lubei Group has always adhered to the principles of giving priority to ecology and pursuing green, low-carbon development, and is committed to taking the path of high-quality growth. This green transformation project is a key initiative for the group to address capacity gaps, optimize production processes, and improve product quality as well as economic efficiency. Lü Tianbao said that Metro Mining has provided solid support for the development of industries in northern Shandong through its high-quality bauxite resources as well as efficient and reliable logistics services. The foundation for cooperation between the two parties is strong and the prospects are promising; he expressed sincere gratitude for the hard work of Metro Mining and all the companies involved in this project. This project is a key initiative of Lubei Group aimed at promoting the green transformation of its industries and addressing gaps in critical production capacities. Since construction began in 2024, a total investment of 455 million yuan has been made. Once the project is fully operational, it will enable annual savings of 128,000 tons of standard coal in terms of energy consumption, thereby significantly improving the level of comprehensive resource utilization. This will further strengthen the company’s capacity to produce 1 million tons of alumina per year.
