If it is found during construction that the pressure transfer pipe fittings are not designated according to appropriate pressure ratings and are used interchangeably, with socket welding being the method of connection, then since high-pressure fittings are usually imported, the only solution is to cut the pressure transfer pipes and weld them together. Therefore, I would like to ask: what is the feasibility and safety of welding high-pressure pressure transfer pipes together? And are there any relevant specifications? For welding pressure pipes under high pressure, socket weld straight-through joints can be used.
Tungsten inert gas welding can be used, but it requires high standards. The pressure-taking high-pressure conduits are generally of small diameter; a V-shaped notch is created before welding, with welding being performed at least twice. If possible, X-ray inspection is carried out after welding. For applications above 1500LB, it is advisable to replace the fittings.
Automatic welding can be used; many factories in China are capable of doing it.
High pressure – socket welding is much better
For the intermediate joints, socket welding should be used; the pipes should not be welded directly to each other
