I’ve run into a few issues recently and would like to ask everyone for advice: 1. Is it necessary to perform non-destructive testing on the welds of the non-pressure-bearing parts of the instrument? Event: The owner insists that all welds must undergo non-destructive testing (penetrant testing), while the manufacturer believes that since these welds are in non-pressure areas, such testing is not necessary. Who is right? DN50 reinforced electromagnetic flowmeter. 2. If the instrument manufacturing plant does not have the capability for non-destructive testing, can it ask the non-destructive testing personnel from the boiler factory to conduct the testing and provide a report? 3. Can personnel with a level 2 qualification in penetrant testing for non-destructive testing, and a level 3 qualification in all other areas, prepare non-destructive testing procedure documents?

The welding and flaw detection of the installation flange for online instrument installation shall be the same as that of the process pipeline.

The instruments undergo pressure resistance and leak testing upon leaving the factory; no further testing is required, as long as the pressure value provided at the time of order is correct.
The outer shell doesn’t have to bear pressure or come into contact with liquids; indeed, there’s no need to build it that way. But since the client insists on it, what can you do?
Manufacturers all have certificates of conformity; there’s no need for them for mass-produced products
