Originally, one computer was used to control the field equipment, but now an additional computer is needed for control! I have already purchased the KingView Runtime software license key; how should I set it up on this new computer? KingView communicates with Siemens over Ethernet!
This configuration network has Siemens communication drivers; generally, as long as the communication settings are correct, communication is possible
So at the site, do you use direct drive or OPC? If driving directly, set the computer’s network card IP to be in the same network segment as Siemens’ IP. OPC is more complex.
Direct drive: set the computer’s network card IP to be in the same network segment as Siemens’ IP. Agree with the previous comment!
First, your Siemens device must have an Ethernet port. Second, you need to install the KingView drivers; you can refer to the instructions for those drivers
Siemens’ 300 series works better with WinCC
Add a switch, plug the original network cable into one of the ports on the switch, and create two additional cables to connect to the two computers respectively; this is how we make the connections in our molecular sieve department. The computer’s IP address must be in the same network range as that of the CPU; different IP addresses are acceptable. It’s sufficient to have the same settings on both computers
It’s fixed, just as you said
