For safety reasons, an 8-meter large tank needs to be equipped with an on-site level gauge. Since the tank is already in use and welding is not allowed, what type of gauge would be suitable? There are flanges on the top of the tank, and flanges as well at the bottom. There is already a single-flange level gauge available. Thank you
Our facility uses differential pressure and radar level gauges
If flanges are available, a remote-mounted magnetic flap level gauge can be considered.
For submersible level gauges, if the gas phase is under pressure, they are installed by simply inserting them and tightening them; two probes are used to determine the difference.
8 meters is too small; are there tanks of 80 meters or 800 meters? Come and find brother to do the testing~~~ It’s 8,000 meters deep in the sea; brother will also conduct the measurements for you. . . I’m not afraid of inaccuracies; what worries me a bit are the cables. Let’s use fish as seaweed and feed them with that. . .
For top-mounted float level gauges, the flange size should be at least DN50; the larger, the better
It depends on the type of liquid; factors such as viscosity and temperature determine the appropriate choice
At normal pressure, the simplest float level gauge can be used – a plumb bob and pulley system outside the tank can be employed to provide an indication, which is the most reliable and intuitive method
Installing an on-site level gauge might be difficult, as 8 meters is quite high; it would be possible to use a radar sensor along with an on-site digital display
