For the DCS systems that you are maintaining, what is the typical interval for configuring backups across different plants? What is the backup method? Automatic backup or manual backup
1. Set up automatic backups – take a backup each time after making changes and before exiting. 2. Regularly back up project files to a external hard drive; the interval can be once a month
Set up automatic backups to back up the file each time it is modified and then closed.
Back up if there are any changes. If there are no changes, perform backups every three months or six months.
What was said upstairs is right – back up the data before making any changes; it’s a way to ensure you have a fallback option in case something goes wrong
Does the DCS system after going online require frequent modifications for maintenance? I thought that by backing up the configuration before going online, there would be no need to make any changes
Every time I make a change, I take a break for a while – about a year or half a year – that’s how I do it

Configuration: Back up after each configuration change. No changes, no need for backup. Backups should be stored on another storage medium.

Otherwise, one day: if the engineer station or hard drive fails, the backup you have will not be the latest version. When dealing with the Yokogawa CS3000 system, even restoring from a backup taken before configuration does not result in it being in current state. Backups should be stored on another storage medium.
