Wow, using Emerson’s products to calibrate E+H equipment – haha, just those few commonly used functions: zero calibration, full calibration, level measurement, gap measurement, and signal quality……
This is actually quite easy to understand. For radar-level measurement, these are the main parameters that need to be considered: in the first diagram, the first item refers to the type of container; the third item is the height of an empty container, while the fourth item is the height at full capacity. The rest of the values are determined through measurement
Is the first item in the second diagram the actual value? What does the third item mean?
Empty calibr.(3) – Height of empty tank; Full calibr.(4) – Full scale; Level(7) – Liquid level; Distance(9) – Height from bottom to liquid surface. Level(7) = (Empty calibr.(3) – Distance(9)) / Full calibr.(4) * 100%
Empty calibr: Enter a value to represent the distance from the instrument’s reference point to zero. Full calibr: Enter a value to represent the distance from zero to the full capacity of the tank. Dist./Meas.value: Displays the distance from the reference point to the surface being measured, or the measurement value itself. Range of mapping: Enter a value to define the range; this value is used as a reference point. Start mapping: Starts applying the new settings – ‘Off’ means the new settings will not be applied, while ‘On’ means they will be applied. Dist./Meas.value: Displays the distance from the reference point to the surface being measured, or the measurement value itself
For German products, don’t use the American 475; use buttons instead
