Dear experts, what does it mean when the calibration range indicated on the nameplate of a differential pressure transmitter is 0 to 16 KPa? Thank you
It has been tested within the range of 0~16 kPa
The operating range of the gauge is 0~16 KPa. When installing the gauge on-site, it is common to select five points—0 (0 KPa), 25% (4 KPa), 50% (8 KPa), 75% (12 KPa), and 100% (16 KPa)—for calibration.
The range indicated on the nameplate refers to the range at which it was calibrated during factory manufacturing. Of course, if it’s precise to 0-16 like in your case, that means this range was provided to the factory by the relevant technical personnel or designers, and the factory uses it for production calibration. You can also adjust the range on-site according to actual needs
Generally, the range is specified at the time of ordering, and the manufacturer will calibrate according to this range; only after passing the calibration can the product leave the factory. Of course, within the maximum range of this gauge, you can also make any modifications (it’s not limited to only 0-16 KPA). If the instrument tag number is provided, it should also be on the nameplate.
