Use of the BANNA flow switch

For a new project at our factory, we have used a number of BANNA flow switches with digital output. During use, it was observed that as soon as the sensor probe came into contact with water (even if there was no flow), both the yellow and green lights would light up immediately. Is such sensitivity normal? Can that potentiometer only adjust the output of the yellow light?
Could it be that the wrong model was chosen? Is it suitable for measuring gases? Or redo the zero and full-scale calibration?
This is my first time working with a flow switch – does it need to be calibrated?
There’s also an initialization process mentioned in the instructions, but I didn’t observe this process when I powered it on; I’m not sure why
It’s that type of thermal flow switch – it lights up and activates when it comes into contact with water; that’s completely normal. Generally, after installation, the potentiometer is adjusted according to the on-site flow rate to make the settings.
This looks like a thermal mass flow switch; after it’s installed, adjust the flow rate to the desired level, then adjust the potentiometer so that the switch operates. The light seems to indicate the relative flow rate
