Differences between refining instruments and chemical process instruments

I would appreciate it if you could clarify the differences between refining instruments and chemical industry instruments. Are there any barriers to switching from working with refining instruments to those used in the chemical industry?
There isn’t much difference; the principles and methods of use are the same. However, the requirements and specifications regarding the media and materials used differ in the oil refining and chemical industries
No difference; I’ve done both.
It all falls under the instrumentation industry, no problem.
It’s the same; it’s just that the medium has changed. First, find out the physical properties of that medium, and be careful to avoid anything that is flammable, explosive, toxic, or harmful
They are all petrochemical standards! But the process has changed; as mentioned above, be careful with flammable, explosive, and toxic materials!
With that foundation in place, getting familiar with the site will allow one to step into the role.
For instruments, it’s sufficient that the material being measured is compatible; the industry has no fixed rules
