I would like to ask everyone: if it is possible for toxic gases and flammable gases to coexist in a pipeline or equipment, can we choose just one type of alarm device? This would allow us to save a significant amount of money. Is this approach permissible according to the principles in place?
Toxic gases and flammable gases can actually be the same type of gas; for example, CO falls into this category. I haven’t seen any specific regulations on this, but I think it should be measured according to the standard related to the lower hazard threshold.
