The internal rotor of the magnetic flap level gauge was designed for a value of 0.92; it is now being used with a substance for which the appropriate value is 0.87. Therefore, its readings will certainly be inaccurate. Can it be simply assumed that the actual reading is 1.06 times the correct value?
At this point, the liquid level is lower than the actual level; however, the exact amount of difference isn’t critical. The ratio of the volume of the float submerged in the liquid remains constant. The difference between the magnetic element and the liquid level depends on the thickness of the float – the thicker it is, the smaller the error, while the thinner it is, the greater the error

It’s impossible to float; there’s no such thing as a magnification factor. It’s not necessary to replace the level gauge; any float with a density lower than 0.87 will do.

Since the density remains unchanged, the buoyant force acting on the float stays the same, and the actual operating range also remains unchanged; simply recalibrate the zero point position.

It depends on the manufacturer. Generally, float balls have a certain height above the liquid surface, and this can be calculated simply using the buoyancy formula; it’s not 1.06 times yours
You can first consult the manufacturer, as the decrease in your density isn’t significant; check whether it’s possible for it to float. If it can float, then there’s no need to replace the float – you could consider adjusting the scale on the level gauge instead. Either do an experiment yourself to see if it can float.
