Regarding the use of level gauges in coking plants and dry quenching furnaces, what is the typical temperature range in such operating conditions? Which type of level switch can be used, such as radar, radio frequency, capacitive, or rotameter-based level switches? Which one should be recommended, given that all these devices are capable of performing measurements? As a salesperson for level gauge instruments, how should one present them to convince customers? Products like the rotary impedance level switch are relatively cost-effective; should this product be recommended to users as a reference first? .
I’ll reply to you one by one. For level measurement, instead of going to places where it’s easier to work, you chose a coking plant where the selection and application of such devices are already well-established, specifically for the dry quenching process. For level measurement in dry quenching systems, these devices are used at the high levels in the pre-storage chamber of the dry quenching furnace (with a temperature resistance of 1200°), as well as at the high levels in the cooling sleeves of the primary dust collector (with a temperature resistance of 1000°). They’re also used at the high and low levels in the secondary dust collector (with a temperature resistance of 200°). All of these are capacitive level meters, and only Japanese company FELLOW KOGYO manufactures them. Currently, Hangzhou Jinlian Automatic Control acts as its agent; alternatively, they import the components from Japan and assemble them there themselves. For the high levels in the pre-storage chamber (with a temperature resistance of 1500°), Rosemount and Hangzhou Jinlian Automatic Control are the companies that manufacture such devices. Basically, they have a monopoly in this area in China. So, what do you plan to do? If you don’t have any results, no one will believe in you or dare to use you. For other areas in coking, such as the bins used for coal powder and coke, high-frequency radar can be used. For the dust bins in dust collectors, either radio frequency admittance or vortex loss sensors can be employed, and their prices are not high. For the tower equipment in chemical production, there are those with single flanges, double flanges, or radar systems, as well as mechanical sedimentation tanks that use guiding radar.
